Adventures in astronomy. This gallery is a sort of catch-all for images from our astronomy jaunts and other things.

During the Shang dynasty (1600 BC to 1050 BC), notes of eclipses were transcribed onto bones or tortoise shells. One such record reads, "The Sun was eclipsed in the evening; is it good?"

Welcome to Trifid Nebula, a website devoted entirely to amateur astronomy, and well, maybe a few other things. Actually, there's really no telling what might show up here.

Let's just say it's a loosely astronomy-themed website that also serves as a brain dump for

anything I, or anyone else I know, feel the sudden urge to put out there in the world.
